Ukrainian forces from aviation, surface-to-air missile, electronic warfare, unmanned systems and mobile fire groups participated in repelling the attack. By 08:30 on October 31, 105 drones had been shot down or suppressed, including 49 reactive Shaheds. Impact sites were recorded in 20 locations, with debris falling at 10 more.

Five people were injured in Kharkiv after a reactive drone hit a private house in the Osnovianskyi district. About 10 private houses, outbuildings and a car were damaged, and a 3,000-square-metre fire broke out at a private production and storage facility in the Slobidskyi district. Two drones struck a non-residential building and the grounds of a car wash in Sumy’s Zarichnyi district. Fires also occurred at a private industrial enterprise in Poltava Oblast. Infrastructure was damaged and large areas of Dnipro, Kamianske and neighbouring districts remained without electricity.

Så beskriver ukrainska källor det

Ukrainian reporting highlights the scale and composition of the attack, the work of Ukrainian air defences and official figures on neutralised drones and impact locations. It also foregrounds local consequences: injuries to civilians, damaged homes and industrial facilities, fires, electricity losses and disruption to water service.

English-language coverage focuses mainly on the number of drones, the types used, the proportion neutralised and the locations of impacts or falling debris. It provides less detail than Ukrainian reports on individual damaged properties and effects on local infrastructure.

Där rapporteringen skiljer sig åt

Ukrainian sources present the number of affected locations differently. One report combines impacts and falling debris into 30 locations, while the detailed account distinguishes 20 impact sites from another 10 locations where debris fell.
